Rimmel Rock Your Glitter top coat

Heyyyy Readers!

So the other day when my mani was pretty old and chipping away (one week old!!) I was dragging a male friend through the beauty stands at Boots and came across Rimmel's Rock Your Glitter top coat and decided I would "test it out" on erm.... ALL my nails. Sneeeaky! I just about managed to use it on all my nails before a security guard came over to tell me off. Oh the shame!!

Please excuse the shoddiness of the mani!!
It was really easy to apply and super quick. Well, I had to be quick as the security guard came hovering over!!! I would recommend it if you want a little subtle glittery finish to your mani or if you want to make it a bit special. A bit too subtle for me so I ended up getting the polish you can see on the ring finger which is Miss Sporty's Sparkle Touch polish. Plus it was only £1.99!

What do you guys reckon of the finish?

What my sister did....

Hey Everyone!!

Nail fever has hit my family. My sister Pea and her friend Dee have gone nail crazy and bought a bunch of nail art pens even before I did!!! They are design students and decided to use the pens to make some money at a fair for their department at uni, and this is what happened when they were let loose on the public's nails...... (click on the photos to make zem bigger!)

"Flower Power"

"Penguins and robins'

A design for the owner of a dalmatian called Pablo

"Pacman numero uno"

"Pacman numero dos"

"Brighton Beach"

'Leafy Greens"

Random selection on my nails (and that's a monkey not a bear!!)

Random selection on my nails including cotton wool fluff (I was about to remove the designs!!)
Apparently most of them took only 15 mins to do which I thought was amazing!! What do you think of their attempts?

25 days of christmas challenge.... condensed into a few!!

Helloo Readers!!!

First on the agenda: apologies for being so rubbish at this challenge. It's almost as though as soon as I started it, I got ridiculously busy at work and had no time to be nailing about!

Second on the agenda: I've realised I will have to concede to defeat with this challenge, as I really don't think I'll be able to get it all done!!

Sooo as a peace offering to the Christmas nail elves, I have made a little selection of the Christmas days (basically all the ones I can actually do!!)

Day 5: Christmas gradient
Using Rimmel Riviera Red and Colorclub gingerbread
Day 7 Christmas glitter nails
Using Colorclub sugarplum fairy
Day 3 red and green nails (fashioned into a Christmas tree of course!)
Using Rimmel Riviera Red, Barry M Mint Green and Nails Inc St Moritz
Day 17 Present Nails
Using Barry M Mint Green and Rimmel Riviera Red
Day 6 Christmas Stripes (reminiscent of candy canes)
Using Rimmel Riviera Red and Pamela Grant Manicure Fancesa
Day 8 Christmas Dotting
Using Colorclub Gingerbread, Rimmel Riviera Red (oh but of course!),
Barry M Mint Green, Barry M NP150 and Colorclub Holiday Splendor

And so there are my Christmas offerings for this year! Not quite finished the challenge but at least I tried :)

What do you all think?

Ladybird nails!

Hello again!

These are some nails that I tried out last week, thanks to Cute Polish's video tutorial. Ever since I started to dabble in nail art, I've actually found that a lot of men comment on my nails. Whether this is a way for them to start a conversation with a girl I don't know! I hope it's because they can see the cuteness and patience that goes into painting them!!

I got a compliment on this little ladybird at a job interview of all places!! By a man. Strange no??

Check out the video tutorial and try it out for yourself. It was really easy to do, and uses colours that most of us will have.
